"I have checked out every single GPS map that is out there now and yours is by far the best." Frank S., Big Moose

Nearly all our state's clubs have now GPSed their trails. We will have all the new highly accurate data available this coming season.

You can download snowmobile trails and intersections along with parking locations and sponsoring businesses to your recreation grade GPS receiver (Garmin, Magellan, DeLorme, etc). The trails have been reformatted as tracks. The businesses, intersections and parking are waypoints.

Will it work

The tracks and waypoints are stored in .GPX format, an industry standard format for any manufacturer of GPS receivers, however, they can only be used on units that can accept tracks and waypoints. These typically are what are called recreation grade receivers.

Garmin NUVI and Tom Tom users: your units are for vehicle navigation, they are not recreation grade receivers. They cannot accept tracks. Sorry.

If you are unsure if your receiver can accept tracks or waypoints, please email your make and model number to us for verification.

More information about trail sets

Trails are available for individual clubs or for entire counties. The county trailsets are available at a 25% discount.

You should also include the two free waypoint files in your shopping cart. One contains all the trail intersections with junction labels, the other has businesses and parking locations, for your convenience while out on the trails.

This pdf document displays a table listing each snowmobile club and the number of tracks within its trail system. Please note that many clubs' trail systems have more than 10 tracks (which is the limit of some GPS receivers). You will need to choose which tracks to include on your receiver for each outing. This is explained in the free user guide.

Email if you have any questions.

Please download these two sample files to test capability.

Because all trail files cost only $3.00, there will be no refunds if your GPS receiver cannot use the files you purchase. Thanks for understanding!

Step 1: You will need software on your PC that lets you download AND UPLOAD your waypoints, routes and tracks. If needed, EasyGPS is a free program that communicates with numerous makes & models of receivers.

Step 2: Download these two sample files to test capability. Right click on the link and select Save Link As. Be sure the .gpx file extension displays in the file name. The file type should be "All files" or "GPS exchange file".
